Registration Process For The 2019-2020 &
2020-2021 School YeaRs

We will begin a remote “Conditional Registration” process due to COVID-19 closures today.  This will allow us to serve students and families remotely as they move in and out of Prince William County.  Our main goal is to ensure that students are registered and have access to distance learning resources. Parents/guardians will still have to follow up with their school Registrars in-person the school(s) when the public health situation permits.

We have created a remote registration web page  that provides parents with forms and instructions for registering their child(ren).  We know that each case will be unique and we know that the guidance provided will not cover all situations.

When we return to normal life in our buildings, we will need you to follow-up with your school Registrar to finalize the registration process to include an in-person meeting to view the birth certificate.

Online Kindergarten Registration Now Open

Online registration is now available to enroll children in kindergarten. Children who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2020, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten in Prince William County Public Schools for the 2020-21 school year. Parents may use the Find Your School site to locate the school their child will attend.

Please note: parents whose students are currently enrolled in any PWCS preschool program (preschool or special education) do not need to complete the online kindergarten registration process. Instead, once schools re-open, they should contact the registrar for the school where their student will attend for kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year.
