In language arts this week, we concentrated on comparing and contrasting, as well as determining the importance of text. We used the graphic organizers on their research animals to write rough drafts, which we edited and revised. Next week, we will make a final draft. In math, we finished our second unit and addition and subtraction. Next week, we will begin a short unit on growing patterns, which will be completed before spring break. In science, we finished the unit on plants. Most students’ plants are growing, but a handful are slower and needed to be re-seeded. These should be sent home before spring break. Next week, we will begin a unit on animals.
