Library Instruction & Information
The Penn Library is part of the block schedule. Each class will visit the library for encore once every 10 days. Library instruction includes information management, research skills, book care, library etiquette, and collaborative instruction to support the curriculum.
Students in Kindergarten may check out 1 book. Students in grades 1st-5th may check out 3 books. Books must be returned before new books are checked out. In addition to coming with their class, teachers may send students during our open checkout times.
The online catalog system is available on the internet by accessing our school webpage and clicking on the library link. Students can check for availability of books in our library from any computer, both at school and home. We encourage the students to browse the catalog for ideas and favorite titles.
Keep Reading & Keep Learning
